The development objective of the BMW K 1300 S was clear from the beginning: more power, better performance. The engine delivers a massive 175 hp and 140 Nm, with a dry weight of only
228 kg. Once up to speed like the rest of the world stand still. The heart beats with 11,000 rpm. There is nothing this engine out of balance.

Thanks to the safety and chassis at the highest technical level, he is certainly suitable for everyday use. This is ensured by the famous BMW Motorrad Duolever and
BMW Motorrad ABS. The automatic traction control (ASC) and tire pressure control (RDC) are also available as an option. Also new is the optional quick shifter, shift up to speed without using gas or releasing the clutch.

These systems may be complemented by the ESA II electronically adjustable chassis, making it optimal spring and damping system on the loading condition can be adjusted.
